the guidebook says -- and i quote: "over one-hundred
coffins are stacked in the entrance, the oldest believed
to be about five-hundred years old."

i couldn't resist...  i had to check one of these out.

and i did.  only, i peered through the cracks of one.  i half-heartedly
tried to lift the lid, of course, but the superstitious filipino in me beat
my curiosity.  but that's beside the point.  the point is, there really
are corpses inside these coffins.  curled in a fetal position.

the cave connection -- sumaging to lumiang caves

and cold as ice.
